Two weeks left until we are responsible for a little human being

Tomorrow, I am officially 38 weeks -- only 2 weeks away from my estimated due date. I have gained a total of 25 pounds. During my doctor's appointment today, I was told that I am now 1 cm dilated! For many of you who have no idea what that means, it basically means that the baby is imminent. Hospitals will admit women at a minimum dilation of 4 cm--so I'm not there yet and there's no way for the doctor to estimate how quickly I'll get to that point, but it definitely shows signs of progress. It could be 2 weeks or it could be tonight--who knows??

Paul says he has an easy day of work tomorrow so he would prefer for me to go into labor on a busier work day. So, because I am such a good wife, I'll do my best to keep the baby in until Paul has a day packed full of meetings.
